  • The Waterra 1 UP Peristaltic Sampling Pump can be powered by 110 and 220V AC, external 12VDC or its 12V internal battery.  Suction lifts up to 8.5m. 4 Battery Choices LIFE Batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries that weigh about one half the weight of the SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries. LIFE batteries a have better discharge curve, maintaining higher voltages for longer. Available in 20 Ahr and 12 Ahr formats. A LIFE 12 Ahr 1 UP Pump weighs less than 8.1kg and the 20 AHr unit weighs less than 9.5kg. SLA Batteries are Sealed Lead Acid conventional batteries that are a less expensive than LIFE batteries, but weigh about twice as much. Available in 20 Ahr and 12 Ahr formats.

  • The QED Soil Hydrocarbon Analyser is a total organic hydrocarbon in soil and groundwater analyser that can accurately analyse both soil samples and water samples on site. Suitable for direct on-site detection and analysis, it can be synchronized with the on-site investigation and sampling team or in the field. During excavation or in the early stage of pollution, quickly determine the source of gasoline (GRO) or diesel (DRO) or other oil pollution. The QED Hydrocarbon Analyser can reliably identify petroleum hydrocarbon in the sample, as it uses the same solid state micro-spectrometers used by NASA to provide unrivalled accuracy in identifying petroleum hydrocarbons and PAHs.   • Landfill-biodegradable nitrile disposable gloves that provide comfort, dexterity and protection from chemicals. Once these landfill-biodegradable nitrile gloves are disposed of to landfill, biodegradation is accelerated approximately 90%+ faster than conventional nitrile gloves, producing an organic matter (a natural fertiliser) and no microplastics. *Biodegradation has been verified by independent laboratory using ASTM D5511 for anaerobic landfill conditions.
  • The Hydrolift is a portable, 240v operated electric device that is used to automate the operation of the Waterra Pump System. This actuator is perfect for purging and sampling 50mm diameter monitoring wells up to 60m deep. In special circumstances it can lift up to 90m. This electrical Tubing Actuator is optimized to operate with the Standard Flow System up to its maximum effective depth and will operate with the High Flow System up to a depth of 45m. This Tubing Actuator is the ideal choice for the frequent user of the Waterra Pumping System with moderate to extreme pumping requirements (Low, Standard and High Flow). Using the Hydrolift will result in a big boost to your field sampling program. The Hydrolift is powered by a 3/4 horsepower (560 watts) electric motor and generates a 4 inch (10 cm) stroke at up to 140 cycles per minute. The Hydrolift weighs about 16 kg and requires an electrical power supply of at least 1000 watts. *Please note the Hydrolift requires a generator to power it.   • A lower cost Class B option

    The Nondo Maxi 320 - Class B monitoring well cover is a large flush-mounted well cover with a cast iron lid and base, and is ideal for 100mm or larger monitoring well installations. The Nondo Maxi 320 - Class B has been tested to exceed load bearing requirements for traffic suitability for Australian Standard AS3996 Class B. Please note that it is not suitable for road traffic. The 337mm (OD) diameter cover is secure with 2 bolts requiring an 8mm allen key, and a notch in the bottom of the lid to allow it to be also levered up with a screwdriver. Due to its weight, we have designed a lifter which allows the lid to be removed safely from the base (see video below).
  • A lower cost Class B option **Please note this well cover is a Class B well cover that is not suitable for road traffic.** The Nondo Maxi SMC B well cover has a non-metallic lid, making it ideal for wells with instrumentation inside requiring data transmission through the lid, such as a telemetry system. It has an SMC (sheet moulding compound) lid, a cast iron base ring, and a plastic skirt. The traditional looking 2-bolt design has a completely sealed lid with a unique one piece gasket to prevent any surface water ingress, and has been tested to exceed load bearing requirements for traffic suitability for Australian Standard AS3996 Class B. The 337mm diameter cover has an anti-slip dimpled surface on the lid, 2 bolts requiring an 8mm allen key, and a notch in the bottom of the lid to allow it to be levered off with a screwdriver.

  • The Nondo Safety Lifter / Multi Tool enables a safe way to remove our steel well cover lids and comes with all the necessary allen keys for our well covers and TriCap well plug.
  • Our 1 litre slug is made for performing a 'slug test', which enables hydraulic conductivity estimation in monitoring wells. Designed to fit within a 50mm well and displace 1L of water. Custom sizes can also be made for larger wells, or multiple slugs can be used together to displace more water in the monitoring wells.

  • Biodegradable Cleaning Concentrate Quantumclean is a highly effective decontamination and cleaning liquid which is also biodegradable. It can be used to clean pumps, bailers, tubing, soil augers, or any sampling equipment where cross-contamination between sampling locations is a concern. Quantum clean can also be used to clean radioactive contamination. Quantumclean is a concentrated mixture of surfactants, chelating agents, stabilising agents and alkali salts in aqueous solution. The mixture is non-flammable, completely water miscibleand biodegradable. Quantum clean does not containphosphates or poly-fluoroalkyl substances.
  • The portable tubing reel is a great solution for tubing management when groundwater sampling. Made from high quality steel and powder coated blue for a professional finish. It folds down flat to easily fit in the boot of a car, and can be assembled in less than a minute. It will hold either 1 or 2 reels of BioTubing with ease.  
  • Filter sock can be used to protect groundwater wells from infiltration of fine silt and sediment. Made from polyester and with a 340 micron pore size. Available to suit 50mm, or 100mm to 150mm monitoring well screen. Simply sleeve the filter sock over the pvc screen before installation.  
  • The Flexipoint is pointed bottom end cap made from recycled plastic. It is long enough to be installed on either the male or female threaded end of the 50mm slotted PVC screen, without a need to cut off the female thread.
  • Disposable Bailer Cord Our disposable bailer cord is mainly used to deploy bailers and sleeve samplers. Made from polypropylene, it is well suitable for all types of ground water sampling. The 2.5mm diameter twine is packaged in a convenient 100m spool and also made in Australia. It has a manufacturers stated break load of approximately 195kg, so can be used for a range of applications.
  • These convenient socks pre-filled with approximately 312.5 g of EOx® Powder. They are 38mm diameter, suitable for 50mm wells or larger. EOx® is a granular powder of calcium peroxide that provides slow and steady oxygen release for long-term aerobic biodegradation. Suitable for enhanced aerobic biodegradation of BTEX, PAHs, DRO, MTBE, VC and other complex contaminants in soil and groundwater.    
  • The WC25Gas has a quick connect gas fitting and dust cap installed on the top, enabling gas in the well to be monitored or sampled with a gas instrument or suitable pump.
  • The WC100GAS has a quick connect gas fitting and dust cap installed on the top, enabling gas in the well to be monitored or sampled with a gas instrument or suitable pump. The WC100Gas can also be locked in place with a padlock or by using a security screw or both for extra security. It has a large wing nut, designed to make it easier to tighten or release the plug. It comes with a ring below so you can hang/attach tubing, skimmers or sleeve samplers in the well.
  • Our largest standpipe cover is the all recycled plastic SP272. This round standpipe cover has a 250mm internal diameter which means there's even enough room for 150mm PVC well installations. The mottled, multi-coloured look is a result of the post-consumer plastic items being melted together to make a unique and great looking cover. Ideal for landfill or remediation applications where a larger diameter cover is often desired. By purchasing products made from recycled plastic you are supporting the plastic recycling industry.   • Corrosion Protection for Standpipe Covers: Certain site requirements or tender specifications require galvonised steel. The standpipe also has a unique non-binding swivel hinge for long life,  which is protected from rain. Traditional looking standpipe covers have hinges which are exposed to the elements and therefore prone to corrosion and eventually seizing up or dropping off. Our unique design has addressed this weakness. The 100mm square galvanised steel standpipe covers have a unique non-binding 'hidden hinge' design which provides a rain proof cover. These low-cost covers have a galvanised / silver finish for corrosion protection.
  • This all pneumatic box will shut off the air supply to down-hole pumps when the tank, drum or IBC becomes full. This prevents overfilling of the drum and creating a spill. Ideal for LNAPL recovery projects. Comprising of a separate control box and tank sensor, the control box can be mounted separately from the drum. The tank sensor is screwed into the drum and connected to the control box by a small air hose. Being all pneumatic makes this inherently intrinsically safe.
  • The 100mm well plug is manufactured from a recycled composite glass filled polymer that will not corrode, and is stronger than steel, pound for pound. The  center locking mechanism allows a padlock to be secured in a variety of positions, offering more flexibility in applications with limited space. Constructed of recycled composite glass-filled polymer which is stronger than steel pound for pound, the 100mm well plug is designed for years of worry-free use. The wing nut design with a recessed grip allows a padlock (not included) to be easily installed. The 100mm well plug has a tethering attachment at the base for use with a variety of instruments, features no metal parts, and can be disassembled for easy decontamination. The standard well plug and GasCap is available for 100mm wells.  
  • Biogone ziplock bags are landfill biodegradable and well suited for PID soil headspace sampling. Available in packs of 25 or cartons of 500.
  • Made from post-consumer recycled plastic (i.e. bottles and other plastic waste sent for recycling), these stylish upright covers give your monitoring well a professional finish. By purchasing products made from recycled plastic you are supporting the plastic recycling industry. The Economy Standpipe Cover is a thinner walled option for budget limited projects. They have a recycled plastic inner core and a bright yellow outer layer for high visibility.
     
  • The TriCap-LOG has been specifically designed for use with submersible groundwater level logging devices. Just like the TriCap-GAS, the hollow shaft intersects a horizontal side hole through the shaft near the bottom. An elbow fitting installed in the top enables the well to be vented to the atmosphere. Attach optional tubing to allow the vent port to be raised up above any surface water and prevent it from flowing into the well through the vent. A stainless spring clip is also provided for easy logger attachment. The Tricap-Log is the perfect choice for use with submersible groundwater logging devices.  It features an elbow fitting which vents the well to atmosphere, and a unique stainless spring clip for easy logger attachment. The TriCap is made from recycled plastic for sustainability and enables a groundwater monitoring well to be sealed and locked.

  • The TriCap-GAS has a quick connect gas fitting and dust cap installed on the top, enabling gas in the well to be monitored or sampled with a gas instrument or  suitable pump. The TriCapGas can also be locked in place with a padlock or by using a security screw or both for extra security. The TriCap has a partially hollow shaft that intersects a horizontal side hole near the bottom. This allows the well gas to be drawn in through the side hole and out the top. The side hole also serves to hang sampling or monitoring devices off the bottom of the cap while at the same time gas samples can be taken out through the shaft and out the gas quick connect fitting.
  • LNAPL Skimming Socks for 50mm Monitoring Wells The easiest way to remove small amounts of fuels from monitoring wells is with these low-cost skimming socks. Each sock holds about 500ml.

  • A Solution for Legacy Covers The universal FB180 lid is designed to fit legacy well covers from other manufacturers which are no longer in production. This includes the 'EE' FB180, and other similar covers. Sometimes lids can go missing or get broken on site over the years. Rather than breaking up the concrete to install a new cover, often involving costly traffic management, you can now simply replace the lid. Suitable bolts and an oring is also supplied with the lid. Please note it is not a replacement lid for our Nondo covers.

  • Using syringes for groundwater filtration in the field is a popular low-cost option. It can be an ideal choice if you are not using a pump, and have a manual device such as a bailer. When using a syringe 50ml at a time can be pushed through a filter. Small low-capacity filters can be used where turbidity is low. However if turbidity is high then it may be better to use a high capacity filter such as the AquaPore Biodegradable Filter Capsule. Syriges are available in luer-lock, catheter tipped, or eccentric tipped varieties.
  • The InsiteIG Portable Meter is a unique instrument that combines advanced electronics with exceptional functionality and ease of use. The meter will accept any standard portable DO, SS, pH, or ORP sensor and will automatically configure itself for the correct operation. The quick-disconnect, mil-spec connectors allow for quick sensor swaps. The meter includes a 250 point data logger that records sensor type, sensor reading, date, time, and location. The included Portalog software offers several sort options to customize the downloading and reporting of collected data. The rechargeable batteries allow for 8+ hours of use between charges.

    The InsiteIG PortaCaddie is an optional organizational tool, available to purchase with each sensor, that captures the meter along with the sensor and cable. The PortaCaddie is designed to manage the cable to eliminate tangles while using the system in the field. The meter, sensor, and cable are retained securely during transport and are easily deployed at the desired test location. The rugged design was built specifically for the rigors encountered by field instrumentation. The PortaCaddie was designed to offer a level of protection to the meter, sensor, and cable.

  • The Mityvac Silverline Hand Pump can be used for filtering water samples, using either vaccum or pressure to move the sample through the filter. Most commonly they are used on the vaccuum setting in conjunction with the Stericup filters.

Ideal for cleaning contaminants from glassware, metals, plastics, ceramic, porcelain, rubber and fiberglass. Excellent replacement for corrosive acids and hazardous solvents. FSANZ Authorized. Use 2% solution to soak frozen stopcocks. To remove silver tarnish, soak in 1% solution in aluminum container. RINSE THOROUGHLY—preferably with running water. Dissolved Oxygen measurements can be displayed in parts per million (ppm=mg/L) or in % of saturation. The temperature is indicated in Celsius from 0 to 50°C with 0.1 resolution. The meter compensates salinity and altitude automatically after manual input. Calibration is very simple and fast: just expose the polarographic Dissolved Oxygen probe MA840, supplied with the instrument, to air and press the CAL button. No need for chemical solutions! A HOLD button allows the user to freeze the reading on the LCD.       Instructions to set the packer: * WARNING: Never inflate this packer unless it is confined in a cased well. Maximum internal pressure must not exceed 200 psi. 1. Lower Packer into the well and inflate (with either inert gas or water) to the static head above the packer (distance from the packer to the water level x .43). 2. Inflate to 25 psi. This pressure will expand the gland to the well size. 3. Inflate to 20% of the maximum possible differential across the Packer. Be sure to use an accurate pressure gauge. Example: The Packer is set at 100 feet and the water level is at the top of the well. If you withdraw all the water below the Packer, the differential would be 43 psi. In step 3, you would add 9 psi. Monitoring equipment such as Pressure Transducers, Thermistors, Conductivity Probes, pH Probes, or injections ports are common uses with perforated pipe for injection testing. Testing equipment can include Bladder Pumps, Electric or Piston Pumps for pump out testing at various depths and with the ability to isolate various zones.

  • Mi306 Conductivity / TDS / NaCl / Temperature Professional Portable Meter

    Mi306 is a waterproof portable logging microprocessorbased Conductivity / TDS / NaCl / Temperature meter. The autoranging feature of the EC and TDS ranges automatically sets the meter to the scale with the highest possible resolution. The Auto Endpoint (HOLD) feature automatically freezes the display when a stable reading is reached.

    The measurements are automatically (ATC) or manually (MTC) compensated for temperature. The temperature coefficient value is user selectable. It is possible to disable the temperature compensation and measure the actual conductivity (NoTC). The Battery Error Preventing System (BEPS) switches the meter off when the batteries are too weak to support proper function. The meter can store measurements in memory by logging function for retrieval at a later time upon user request.

    Mi306 also allows data transfer to computer through the RS232 port. Double LCD displays, for simultaneous readings of the specific conductivity and temperature.

  • The Shelby sampler is a thin-walled soil sampling system. The system is used to sample soils that are particularly sensitive to sampling disturbance, as it has a very low wall thickness-to-sample area ratio. The sampler consists of a thin walled steel tube whose lower end is shaped to form a cutting edge. Fieldtech Solutions is now stocking U63 and U50 Shelby Tubes and drive heads. Drive Heads are available in AW, AWJ, or NWJ box threads.  
  • Mi415 Turbidity Meter

    Turbidity refers to the concentration of undissolved, suspended particles present in a liquid. Turbidity is a measure of the clarity of a sample, and for potable water applications, turbidity is a good indicator of water quality. Turbidity Measurement is achieved by analysing the amount of light refracted from suspended particles such as clay, silt and organic material. By measuring turbidity, by photometric or tube methods, it is possible to estimate suspended solids content.

    The Mi415 has two operating ranges; 0.00 to 50.00 FNU, and 50 to 1000 FNU that can accommodate the most turbid condition you may encounter. The Mi415 is supplied in a hard carrying case, complete with reagents.

  • Dissolved Oxygen Smart Sensor The Model 32 is a solid state DO sensor with built-in smarts which outputs to Modbus RTU through RS232 hardware. It is designed to be connected into existing hardware which accepts the Modbus RTU protocol.   • The fox whistle is the ultimate low cost tool you can use for measuring depth to water.  Our fox whistle is made from stainless steel, is 20mm in diameter and 200mm long.  Air is pushed through the hole in the fox whistle and when it comes into contact with water, it makes a whistling sound. A 30m tape on a windup reel is also available to order as well. Please Note - Maximum depth recommended is approximately 20m, otherwise you may not hear the whistle. Also, not recommended for use in noisy environments such as a busy road or noisy site, as again you may not hear the whistle.

Drawdown Feature For Low-Flow Sampling With a touch of a button the unit changes from static to drawdown mode; a dual function unit at an affordable price. The dipper-T in drawdown mode is ideally suited for low-flow groundwater sampling. During sampling the drawdown level needs to be monitored closely so that it does not fall below the pump inlet. If the drawdown alarm sounds then the user can quickly slow the pumping rate or stop the pump temporarily and allow the well to recover. The drawdown feature may be used for measuring falling water levels during purging and well development, helping to protect electrical pumps from damage caused by dry running. The Well Casing Indicator Probe is used to measure the depth of metal casing in wells and boreholes from 50mm in diameter and upward. The Well Casing Indicator Probe works using magnetism. While the probe sits within the magnetic field of the steel casing, an auditory and visual signal is active. When the probe leaves the magnetic field the signal stops. Note the condition of the well for accurate readings. The Well Depth Indicator Probe (or bottom detector) is used to measure the full depth in wells and boreholes. The Well Depth Indicator Probe uses a pressure sensitive plunger to measure the distance to the bottom of the well. When the Well Depth Indicator Probe reaches the bottom of the well, the plunger enters the probe body closing a switch, initiating an audible and visual signal at the top of the well.        
  • The Swing Sampler enables you to reach out up to 2.4m from a river bank or shore to take a 1.2L surface water sample. It can also be used for reaching into tanks, drums, or any difficult locations with up to 90 degrees rotation on the free-swinging head. The sample jar has a volume of 1.2L and can be re-used (recommended to use Decon 90 to clean between samples). The re-useable sample jar is made from landfill-biodegradable plastic, so when it eventually gets disposed to a landfill it will biodegrade.
  • VOC Sampling in Water or Soil Gas Sampling FEP or PTFE tubing is commonly referred to as 'Teflon® Tubing'. Teflon® is a registered trademark of DuPont, and they were the first company to discover these types of plastics in the 1940s. Fieldtech Solutions stocks clear FEP tubing for soil gas sampling in 1/4" OD size in 15m and 60m rolls. We can also supply a range of PTFE in larger diameter sizes.
  • Soil Vapour Implants can be used for permanent or temporary installations. They can be used for soil gas sampling, air sparging, and even groundwater sampling. They are an accurate and economical way to sample soil vapour. These popular mesh implants come with a barb on top to connect to 1/4” Teflon® tubing. A threaded bottom connection allows connection to a weight to pull the implant down during installation. The implant mesh allows easy passage of the soil vapours to pass in from the target zone into the tubing. The barb allows leak free and tool-less connection of the Teflon® or other similar tubing up to the surface. A range of surface connection fittings are available to provide flexibility to various connection methods at the surface. Installation involves drilling or augering a hole down to the target zone, placing in an implant with connected tubing. Then backfilling around the implant with sand and gravel pack across the target zone. Finally filling back in with soil and or bentonite to make a seal from the surface. The top end of the tubing is where the soil vapour sample is drawn from. When not in use keep this capped.

    Do I need a weight? Due to the coiled Teflon® tubing acting like a spring, it can bind on the sides of the bore. For shallow installations of a few metres, a weight may not be necessary. For deeper installations a weight is recommended to pull the implant down to the bottom.
  • AMS soil augers are commonly used throughout the world for obtaining disturbed soil samples at or near the surface and for boring to depths where samples may be obtained with a soil sampler or soil core sampler.

Perfect for augering shallow depths, AMS soil augers can also auger deeper depths and are generally limited by only the time and muscle of the user.   • Landfill-Biodegradable Push-Tube Liners for Soil Sampling

    The BioLinerTM has been available in Australia since 2012, and as the name suggests it is a plastic liner for soil sampling that will biodegrade* 90+% faster than conventional push-tube liners when discarded to a landfill. A special additive in the plastic encourages microbes to consume it. BioLinersTM are made from biodegradable* PVC, and will only start to biodegrade once in a microbe rich environment such as a landfill. They enable you to achieve the same sampling integrity as non-biodegradable liners but more sustainably. Soil push-tube liners, once used are normally discarded having served their purpose. However this adds to our plastic disposal problem. In Australia alone over 1.5 million tons of plastic waste is disposed of each year, approximately 30 million tons in the USA, and about 5 million tons in the UK. Unfortunately most of this goes to landfill with only a small percentage being recycled. This is unsustainable, and the problem will only get worse unless we change our consumer habits.   • Well Development or Sampling The stainless steel bailer is ideal for both groundwater sampling & well development. The all stainless steel construction and check ball allows for rapid decontamination between wells. The tapered top is designed to avoid hang ups in the well, and smooth raising & lowering. A 45mm diameter enables it to be used in standard 50mm monitoring wells. Reusable equipment such as this helps reduce the amount of disposable waste, and adds sustainability to your operation.

  • Landfill-biodegradable nitrile disposable gloves that provide comfort, dexterity and protection from chemicals. *Biodegradation has been verified by independent laboratory using ASTM D5511 for anaerobic landfill conditions.
  • Low Cost, No Purge Groundwater Sampler These types of samplers are fast becoming a popular method for groundwater sampling on many Australian sites. Sleeve samplers make groundwater sampling a simple, three-step operation that can be more effective than purging or low-flow sampling. The low-cost, disposable sleeve captures a core of water from any discrete interval in the screened portion of the well with no change in water level and minimal disturbance to the water column. The sleeve is sealed except during sample collection, then re-seals itself, assuring that a formation quality sample is recovered. The tripod stand option provides a convenient place to hang a full sampler while filling sample bottles. Independent laboratory testing confirms that sleeve samplers are PFC/PFAS-free, based on analysis for 28 different PFCs at extremely low detection limits.
  • Turn your BioTubing into a groundwater pump Waterra footvalves or inertial pumps have long been a reliable and effective way to sample groundwater. They consist of a one-way checkvalve which connects to a length of HDPE BioTubing. Oscillating the tubing up and down in the well produces a flow of water. The tubing can also be connected to external pumps such as the Waterra Powerpack or PowerPump. Waterra footvalves can be a great sampling solution for narrow diameter wells. Fieldtech Solutions stock a range of the most popular sizes such as the D25, D32, and D16 footvalves. Each of these can connect to our BioTubing which allows it to function as a manual groundwater pump.  
  • The AquaPore inline filter is the world's first biodegradable filter capsule. Having the same special patented additive as all our other landfill biodegradable products, the AquaPore filter is a disposable plastic filter which will biodegrade when discarded to a landfill. It is especially convenient when used with low-flow groundwater sampling but can also easily be used with a bailer, or with a filter flask for surface water filtering. All AquaPore filters now come with a threaded barb adapter to allow easy connection to your low-flow discharge line (3/8" OD). The AquaPore 800 biodegradable filter has a huge 800cm2 capacity to handle water with high turbidity, while the AquaPore 500 has a 500cm2 capacity for medium turbidity. Both filters have the same proprietary additive we use in our other biodegradable products to make them landfill biodegradable. It has been designed specifically for the preparation of groundwater samples for dissolved metals analysis and for filtering large volumes of turbid groundwater.   • The BioBailerTM is a quick and easy way to sample groundwater. Simply lower the bailer into your well and it fills with water as it submerses. When you pull up to retrieve the bailer the check-valve closes, trapping approximately 1L of water inside. BioBailersTM are made from landfill-biodegradable* PVC, and will only start to biodegrade once in a microbe rich environment such as a landfill. They do not require high oxygen or temperature to biodegrade such as in a commercial compost. Achieve the same groundwater sampling integrity as non-biodegradable bailers but more responsibly.
    Need to sample LNAPL / PSH? The easiest and most cost effective way is with the Hydrocarbon only or HC BioBailers. HC BioBailersTM allow you to collect floating LNAPL / PSH from a well, without collecting water. The ball valve is denser than LNAPL but lighter than water so it pushes water out of the bailer while keeping the LNAPL. These bailers also have a wider mouth than regular bailers, allowing you to collect more LNAPL with each bail. Like all BiobailersTM they are landfill-biodegradable.
